This is one of my favorite moments ever during an investigation.
And, admittedly, the strangest as well. I'm quite skeptical of the paranormal, so talking to "the dead" is bizarre enough... let alone talking to a lamp.
We were at the Belleville Area Museum. In the past, investigators have caught disembodied voices and strange anomalies on their thermal imaging equipment.
We began with a simple SB-7 Spirit Box session.
A few faint voices came through, but nothing substantial. That is, until a loud female voice told us to "turn around!"
When we did "turn around," we saw that a lamp was on, that we knew for a fact was off before. As soon as I turn off my camera to rewind the footage (to see if we caught it), the lamp turned back off.
Turning my camera back on, we began to ask the spirits to turn the lamp on and off for us. And it did. Every time. On command.
WATCH that incredible encounter below:
We immediately attempted to debunk the experience.
Vibrations could not trigger the lamp, nor could any of our equipment. The light bulb was screwed in tight; we even tried unscrewing it, making it loose, and even then we couldn't get it to go off randomly.
